The Foundation relies heavily upon volunteers to assist with its expeditions. A typical expedition will consist of some 30 people or more with about half these being experienced professionals and half volunteers. These volunteers range from boat crew and catering staff helping us manage the support operations, through to volunteer divers and expeditioners supporting the scientists and professional marine archaeologists in their underwater work.

Volunteers need to be fit, healthy and comfortable in the water and diving experience is beneficial, although specialist diving and other skills are not always necessary.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us for information as to forthcoming expeditions and the availability of places.
